Excellent, authentic food! You will not be dissatisfied nor disappointed. I’ve actually had the pleasure of enjoying their catering “food”and attended a party at the location. Absolutely professional and non pork options were served, which is important to someone like myself. May GOD continue to bless your endeavors and thank you!

Anyone that has given this restaurant less than five stars does not know what they’re talking about and are entitled. They should just stick with fast food. Y’all, if I could give this place 10 stars, I would do it. The food, the people, and the vibes just comes with love. Uganda and Chef Black were freaking awesome, down to earth, and you could tell they simply love doing what they do. I had the fried catfish, fried okra, mac & cheese, cabbage, collard greens, and chef black gave me a sample of his rice and gravy, which is what’s in the little souffle cup. Oh, and that cornbread you see right there, is like freaking heaven. Do yourself a favor, don’t listen to the naysayers and just go. One important thing. Please make sure that you check their hours on Google before you make the drive. They change weekly!!!!!!! Thank you Uganda and Chef Black for such an amazing first visit. I will see y’all on Sunday for some Oxtail!!!!

Possibly the best Mac and cheese ever!!!! If this didn’t grab your attention look at the light, crispy wings and waffles or the smothered chicken with greens and perfectly sweet cornbread. This was our first visit and certainly won’t be our last. Other diners were also in love with their food, it was a friendly comfortable atmosphere. Update: we went a second time, had the catfish which was outstanding and the jerk wings- amazing; and the mac and cheese was still the best ever!!!

Listen, yall, you need to experience this. It's a small place, with amazing food, good staff, and EASY goin atmosphere. I don't know how to classify the food other than good. It's like Cracker Barrel, but only if there was only one Cracker Barrel. I dont know if it's " soul food or just good country cookin. I don't know and I don't care. Best grits I have ever had. Best greens I have ever had. I ordered smothered chicken with mac and cheese and greens. My wife ordered the catfish with tater wedges and okra. I ain't never had a chicken and rice dish like I ordered, BUT it was the best too! Cornbread is not dry and crumbly, it ain't jiffy mix either. It is it's own thing that is wonderful. The Mac and cheese actually stretched cheese when you took a bite. The catfish was double breaded or something, it was crunchy with the right spice. You would feel guilty to dip it in ketchup. Tater wedges and okra were crunchy and fresh. Don't be in a hurry, I think they make each dish as ordered, I don't think it's sitting in a pan in the fridge waiting to be heated. They have bottled drinks so if you are particular about your beverage just carry one in. Dang !!!! I don't even know if they have desserts. I have never left room to look.

Let me begin with I don’t really leave reviews in order for me to leave a review my experience had to be so exceptional that I have to let everybody know that you are not wasting your time your money and your appetite is definitely gonna be Fulfilled Let me start off by saying Chef Black and his wife are two business owners who work exceptionally hard to bring a southern cuisine with the innovative twist I had the chicken wings and let me say the triple seven deal is a must. I had jolly rancher chicken with plain chicken wings, and a Chi chi sauce wings and I can’t wait to go back to try the other flavors The wings were perfectly seasoned with the seasoned batter and fried to perfection. I also had the lamb chops turkey, cabbage, rice, mac & cheese, and cornbread. Overall, my experience was wonderful as a lot of you may not know I am a truck driver so I passed through a lot of places in this country and I get to see a lot of diner experience And I have to say hola Southern cuisines was a experience to remember and definitely experience that would have me coming back I can’t wait to see Chef Black and his wife again to eat more of their delicious cuisines bringing a southern style with a new innovative twist on Southern cuisine. Thank you so much Chef Black for the experience

This was such an AMAZING EXPERIENCE for my birthday! Everything and I do mean everything was great, from the atmosphere, service, conversations and food. The story behind this place is beautiful and I am thankful to have ran across Ola's Southern Cuisine....I know she looking at you all from the Heavens and is so proud. Blessings to you all.

Words can not begin to describe how incredible this place was to discover. The owner is a wonderful person, very nice and friendly. The food is absolutely amazing. Everything was made to order, with each meal and sides well seasoned, and they make sure you will get your fill with more than generous servings. I cannot wait to go back again, the cornbread is a must try.

This place is such a gem especially considering there are so few soul food options in the Knoxville area. I love the fried wings and smothered chicken. The Mac n cheese is truly exceptional. I drive from fountain city just to get my fix! The owners are always warm and welcoming. Only thing I would say is call ahead and give them AMPLE time to get the food ready and be patient. Sometimes there's a little wait for pickup but trust me...it's worth it.
